Wayne Glynn, Jr
Posted December 2nd, 2007 by Steve BackmanWayne Glynn, Jr, friend and colleague in nonprofit tech circles, died this week after a long battle with a dire form of cancer. He was forty, he was a fighter, and he was an inspiration through it all.
I didn't know Wayne well, and yet I always felt deeply affected when I was around him. He was uniquely passionate and yet matter of fact about his work, he was both thoughtful and fun-loving about what we all are trying to do, bringing sensible strategy about technology to smaller nonprofits. I always wanted to appreciate more deeply the sense of balance he brought to this work, and I will miss him.
You can read more about Wayne, consider making a donation to support research for the disease he had. And maybe the amazing slide show his family made for the memorial will show up somewhere permanent on the web, which would be quite fitting.
And thanks Arthur for the prod to think about how Wayne will continue on with us in some strange etheric fashion.
