Make GMail your desktop email handler

More and more people use webmail as their everyday email program. Google GMail and Yahoo Messenger are the two  most popular, despite some loss of desktop convenience compared to  Outlook or Thunderbird. A big frustration is not being able to quickly forward a page you are reading or document you are working on as an email attachment.

To make Gmail handle your Windows send to mail recipient clients, you can install the shareware untility "gAttach," from developer Chris Wood. Try it out for free at www.gattach.com. Once it is installed, it will pick up send to requests from Microsoft Office, Firefox and other desktop applications and open up a Gmail window for you to complete.

Wood has a similar utility for Yahoo.
