A small, frustrating thing for Windows users is when the Taskbar moves to a new place on the Windows desktop. The Windows XP Taskbar is the toolbar that usually sits one row high on the bottom your screen. It is the toolbar that begins with the "Start" button that gets you to other useful stuff--optional "Quck Launch" toolbar, "Open Programs" and your "System tray items." Yes, the Taskbar as a whole can go top, bottom, left or right and can be two or three rows tall and so on, and when it moves, we get frustrated.
To reposition the Taskbar, first, right click on some blank space on it, and and look for the option, "Lock the Taskbar." If it is checked, uncheck it.
Then, use a normal left click on the space in between the "start" button and the divider next to it. Holding the left mouse button down, you can now drag the Taskbar where you want it. The movement takes a little getting used to, and then you can situate it back on the bottom or wherever.
Finally, right click again and "lock the Taskbar." Usually keeping it locked prevents this annoyance, and yet, particularly after you have loaned your desktop to someone else, things happen.
